One of those "every once in a while" rants......

For those of you who just hang around for the music, I just posted a few new ones so go on below and grab 'em.

I am not gonna go off on deleter assholes or anything like that, I've just been reading a lot stuff the past few days that has gotten me to thinking about the state of the world and the absolute mess we are in.

What terrifies me most is that things are getting worse daily, weekly and monthly and no one seems to want to stop any of it. Where are all the people crying out about the injustices in the world. Have we all become sheep? Why does everyone seem to be willing to let the government take our lives over and not let out a whimper.

Watch the following and see if it doesn't unnerve you a bit. It is a parody of sorts but it is a chilling prediction of things to come. And if you think it can't happen here, listen to the Frank Zappa song with that title or any number of his early Mothers songs and see he was a bit more prophetic than he seemed 15 or 20 years ago.

http://idorosen.com/mirrors/robinsloan.com/epic/ols-master.html

What scares me is how the world is getting scarfed up at an alarming rate by a few individual companies whose main objective seems to be to rule this world. There used to be laws to keep this sort of thing from happening. Now all of these DMRC and IPPA laws are being legislated as a smoke screen to keep the agencies that should be watchdogging multi-national corporations busy watchdogging internet file sharers and people using pirated software. Don't worry about our country becoming the Fourth Reich, the Social Republic of WalMart, or the Eisner States of America, for Christ sake Johnny is downloading the new Madonna single. Never mind the fact Johnny can't afford that CD because he already works for us for subhuman slave wages, never mind the fact that record companies phased out real singles 15 years because no one was buying the rest of her horrid fucking album, and never mind that he can go to any library in America and "borrow" and rip the damn file in the privacy of his own home. He is on "our" internet and now he must pay dearly. Prison for Christsakes, or a portion of his subhuman slave wage check for the rest of his life here on "our" earth.

Move out the mass murderers, move out the child rapists, move out the terrorists, because we need prison space for internet pirates.

What is next folks? When two or three major companies own 90% of the world who do you think is going to make the decisions? Nobodies like you and me or the 5 major shareholders of WalMart whose combined salaries beat the combined total of everyone who works for them? And don't forget they are the world's biggest employer. What does that tell you? And stop and think as you buy that 4 pack of shit tickets for 79 cents less than the mom and pop store (if you are lucky enough to still have those, if not they were the guys down the street that actually cared to get to know you and your family) that is just a few dollars away from sticking that huge red going out of business sign in their front window, am I somehow partly responsible for killing the dream? Remember when the middle class ruled? Remember when you were a kid and your dad who worked for General Motors made a house payment, a car payment, payed all the other bills and still had enough left over to take you to the ballgame or maybe enough time to hang out and play ball in the front yard because he didn't have to work 3 jobs to survive under the conditions WE have sat back and let happen. Remember when moms could stay home and care for your needs? Could this be a direct cause of why our world has become so impersonal and cold, because mom has to work and cannot nurture the children into loving caring human beings. Why does a house that sold for 10,000 dollars in the 60's now sell for 100,000? Why does a car that sold for 2400 in the 60s now cost 25,000? Does the guy that made 3.00 an hour in the sixties actually make 30.00 an hour now? For the most part I doubt it. But I do know that CEO that made 25,000 a year in the 60s probably makes 2,000,000 (or more) now. Does that tell you anything about why prices are so high? It should. I could go on and on about this, and reasons why everyone should stop this madness and start caring about human beings once more. Start making a differnece in people's lives and quit worrying about weather their paycheck is 3 billion or 4 billion this year. Start paying people a decent wage so that crime and alcoholism rates go down. Stop profiting off the misery of others and start showing some compasion before it's too late. To lift a passage from FZ the prophet again, if there is a hell, it surely waits for these multi death corporations, oil barrons, politicians who cater to big business and not the needs of it's people, slave labor cartels, record companies who profit from their own consumers who can't afford to buy everything they push like dope, and heaven, if it exists will be an empty paradise where the tired and downtrodden have the last laugh. Or maybe what we exist in now is that hell we have to deal with for eternities to come.

All I'm trying to say it, get educated if you aren't already. Dig around, seek the truth. It's out there, you just have to sniff it out. It's buried behind all the yellow smiley faces, it's buried behind the Snow White and Mickey Mouse costumes, it lurks underneath every shining facade "they" can try "their" best to mask it with. Look around and you may be surprised to see that once you find it in the deep recesses "they" try to hide, it's right out there in the open for all to see. You just missed it the first time around. Maybe we all just need to pay more attention.

Here are some places to start:

http://walmartsucksorg.blogspot.com/

http://www.organicconsumers.org/corp/walmart120604.cfm

http://alternativesmagazine.com/30/baynton.html (if you read nothing else read this!!!)

http://www.russellbeattie.com/notebook/1000127.html

http://www.michaelmoore.com/

And no I don't agree with all Moore's viewpoints (I am a moderate, and also I think he is a hypocrite to some extent) so as I mentioned above don't let one huge "Corporation" have the last word:

http://www.moorewatch.com/

http://www.mooreexposed.com/

http://www.rightdemocrat.blogspot.com/

http://money.cnn.com/2007/02/01/news/companies/exxon/index.htm

http://www.finfacts.ie/biz10/globalworldincomepercapita.htm

And do your own searches! There is so much information that SHOULD scare and shock you. Even if you are lucky enough to be one of the richest one precent of the world. But of course if you were you probably wouldn't be on a little ol blog like this looking for free stuff would you? But always remeber approximately 90 percent of the world who aren't already considered impoverished are only one paycheck away from being so. And part of the other 10 percent are 2 paychecks away. That scares the living shit outta me.

But I think it's time we wake up and smell the tapioca. I hate coffee.

And I'd love to hear your thoughts on my little rant, weather they are positive or negative.

Thanks in advance, and thanks for reading if you did so.

I totally agree with you. And I know what I'm talking about.
There's enough for everyone in this whole world to have a decent live. It is possible to make poverty history.
I sometimes think this world is going berserk. When I hear what some people in the music business are earning, I only can call it GREED!!! Just as the wages of those CEO's are GREED!!!
But sharing some good music is not greed!

I agree wholeheartedly with your comments Time Traveller, people are sheep seemingly willing to be led wherever 'the man' is taking them. But that rather assumes there is a purpose and a grand design to all of our collective efforts, which I for one can't really see as being the case.
We're basically still quite primitive creatures, for all our technological advances, and the grasping, all-consuming nature of the multinational corporation is just another extension of that. The need to triumph over and dominate our fellow man, to aquire recources and wealth, to be all powerful is a primitive, in-built urge. This has gone on since the dawn of time (Gengis Khan, the Romans, etc.) and in every instance has resulted in failure. After all empires only do one thing well in the end, get too big and fail.
The trouble with human nature, and perhaps this is indeed a strange kind of mixed blessing, is that we are fickle. It is in our genetic make up to always keep moving on, this dates back to our early evolution when such a characteristic was essential for survival. Essentially we get bored pretty easily, hence fashion, trends, etc. and no one company or individual can ever hope to keep up with these. Such a company will eventually see downturn in its fortunes and maybe be subsumed by a rival but I think the notion for an all powerful uber corporation taking over is a little fanciful.
Another wonderful characteristic of us humans is that we are incredibly lazy, easily led maybe, but even so we're damned lazy. This is by far the easiest way to bring down a large empire, in fact you don't even need to do anything, there are already millions of ordinary joes out there doing it for you, and they don't even realise it.
The real worry concering any corporation is that they only exist to advance themselves, despite any illusory hype about making the world a better place to live in. The corporation either keeps growing or it dies, fortunately history has a habit of proving that both of these possibilities end in the same outcome.
Equally unfortunate is that the USA has adopted just such an approach but just as Britain once had a vast empire covering half the globe nothing can last forever.
Globalistation is nothing new, it began in ernest sometime in the late 15th century, with the increase in trade between India and China at that time, and really got going with the foundation of the East India Company.
Incidentally, such was the all pervasive British influence around that time that Germans and other non-English speakers took to mimicking the British accent and drinking vast amounts of tea in order to keep up with the fashion of the time. Now its America's turn, nothing changes, eh?
Anyway, compared with the corporations of today the East India Company was huge and easily had a turnover greater than many of the countries of its day, it employed is own army and had a hand in the Boston Tea Party. Basically it was huge but was brought to its knees by the Sepoy Mutiny in India and no longer exists.
If you want to read a really good book about all of this, and more, then check out "How Mumbo-Jumbo Conquered the World" by Francis Wheen.
And don't let them get you down my friend.

Thanks for the rant. I agree with everything you say. That flash film about the future of media is haunting. I guess I've come to hope that people wake up and smell the coffee (I DOOO like coffee -- black) before it's too late. "They" (the peopl) do seem to be coming around to understanding environmental dangers--hopefully not too late. And They did come around to seeing the danger--if not the insanity--of George Bush. Once They get to the point where They can personalize a topic, They do finally "get it." The question is: Will it be too late one of these days?

Sincerely

Good work putting this up. If every music blogger would put a similar message to this one up for just one day, or even if one out of five would, this message could spread and maybe we'd save a few independent record stores, some local grocery stores, etc.

I bugged my wife for months, even years about not going to WalMart, but she like to got there because she was under the idiotic impression that since the store was in our town, it was "local", Finally, she won't go there, but it's too late because they drove several stores that had been around for decades out of business. And the ill effects of WalMart are not just locally where their stores are located, it's also where the manufacturing plants had to close because they could make TVs cheaply enough, or tube socks cheaply enough. Most WalMart products are NOT made in the US. And this is all just the tip of the WalMart monster.

Your message is a worthwhile message, Time Traveller, keep on with it.

Bless you time traveller for the most important post in the sharity blogosphere this year. Monetary success (in the modern age, corporate success) and the power that comes with it has always been amassed on the backs of slave labor -- from the pharaohs, Mayans and Incas forward.

It has clearly been this administration's goal to create a slave labor class in this country for that reason, and they have largely succeeded with their abusive tax restructuring and other despicable actions.

Anybody out there think that totalitarianism can't happen in America? Guess what you ambivalent, uninformed, inobservant or just plain stupid morons -- it already has.

Time traveller has taken a lot of time and energy to post important stuff here. Read it. Read some Noam Chomsky. Turn off the fucking TV and the "news" it spews (which is simply government and corporate PR masquerading as viable information), and find out the truth.

Remember liberty? Your current government doesn't want you to, and they're being allowed to do a damn fine job of that. I'm shocked and frightened and bloody angry too, time traveller.

Remember why this country was founded: To escape the persecution and control of a government melded with religion. Sound familiar? It's what we've got right now, X-Box playing fool.

What to do? Support agencies and organizations that fight this shit. Give your time and energy to them too. Vote for the right people -- take the time to find out who they are. One way: See which organizations and individuals support the candidates...that'll tell you loads.

Thank you, thank you, thank you time traveller. Even more than the great music, this is the best post you've ever made.

Regards

your rant is right on. i've been thinking the same thing for a long time now. the powers that be have got us all so overwhelmed that we are too tired to fight. they feed us with tv and movies to entertain us in the few waking hours we have been given. The news media has been bought out so that we rarely see the truth unless we actively search for it. There used to be investigative journalism to balance government and big business, but now it is owned by big business. we need a lot of help here. Bob

I have a friend who got into reading a little too much from the world.I call him, "chicken little".Not in a bad sense mind you but a view of what the events of the world can make one cynical and stone hearted after awhile. Its been told ever since I can remember of the impending disasters to occur in our lifetime.I know of those who are complacent from children having children with no lessons from the past.Blind accusers leading the blind followers, cults ect.All leading to our own demise. The people we know no longer rule the goverment and through paperwork and betrayal, our goverment rules the people in an absolute. No one sticks together and the blood shed for what few actual practicing freedoms we have left are forgotten and tossed aside. It will in fact get so bad in the coming years, what we have known and enjoyed will be replaced by those who continue to control us.There is nothing one can do but many can make a change,as like ants do or chinese in mere numbers. Its ok to rant and rave to have a pressure relief valve.Ive learned to not be scared and enjoy each day , partly because I turned the news off because its always generally bad and the propaganda to put the fear factor in people is working abit too hard. Its all about control and to find sanity one must not let these things control our minds. While it may seem a mystery and interesting is a volume of information we dont really need.We know the facts and to those who dont, probably enjoy life more.Yet we continue to think by knowing we can change it.The only way to change the big picture is to pull it down from the top and start a rebuild for peoples interest, not big goverment. Then again its not whats right or wrong but what can you do about it? Absolutely nothing because the big picture is larger than anyone and these things are meant to be until it reaches its own demise. It is sad we have to suffer and wait. Its one thing to get mad,but another to remedy the problems. No one wants a remedy...yet.The unwise complain while they drown, the wise shut up and swim.Take care of those rants and let a little pressure off that steam valve for what is to come is madness and shaking ones head in disbelief.Enjoy the days we have while we have what we have...left.

I defend your right to your opinion Micaelanglo (sorry bout the spelling), but I don't buy your arguement for a second. It's too close to what you're "supposed" to do.I am acknowledging the world is a friggin' mess, and I wouldn't be any happier (or better off) not knowing the world is heading towards totalitarianism. I think your analogy of the sinking man swimming can be best countered with: what happens when it's quicksand?

Well, my friend, the water is turning into quicksand, and my sky IS falling
so since my mommy can no longer help me (thanks Jello) it's time to get educated and reading the works of Noam Chomsky (as one replicant mentioned), Michael Moore, Aaron Russo and many others is a good place to start. Scared? Yes, but in a good way. The kind of scared that leads to fighting back, not the kind that has me running away, or trying to ignore the constant slaps to my face.

All fair comment. I too like FZ/coffee. The result of the 'walmart syndrome' is demonstrated most starkly by the plight of those who live in poverty. This is much more important than the percieved erosion of the personal freedoms and traditions of comfortable 'western' folk. There is only so much wealth in the world. For every time the shuttle takes off into space thousands must starve or die of curable diseases. Even what are considered moderate posessions in say the uk/usa are pyed for in blood. Are you & I prepared to give up what we have? It's tough. Of course the Walmart barons & governments play a huge part in the state of our planet but WE aren't exactly rioting on the streets about it.
It's a dirty world.

Excellent thought provoking NOT so little "rant" it scares me shitless to think that everything you say in it is oh so very true. Why ironically I was watching a documentry on t v last week about WalMartn and their business practices and it totally abhorred me that in this modern time when people are no longer ignorant of what goes on around them that a huge international rip off company can operate with apparent impunity. What the world needs now are some more people like "Morales" in Bolivia who is trying to take back the rights of the population which the previous government gave away to the multi nationals. I wish him well and earnestly hope he succeeds. My family and friends thought I had lost the plot when I insisted on purchasing items brought to market using the FairTrade method. Actually my home town the vast majority of shops/stores only stock items brought to market in this way. I hope that its not too late for all of us. I've copied your thoughts on this item and mailed them to all my mates for a read and moment of reflection !!! Who knows what will happen and where they can "lean" on people as some of them have a lot of influence !!!!!!

Captian Howdy & Deadguy were waxing over this same melee. Perhaps we should consider Aerosmith's " Eat The Rich !"
The music was free in the beninning and should be free now. I dont begrudge the artist to make a buck, but quibbeling over someone downloading a pre-historic album or even some new, hardly sold new album. Lets face it the Artists dont make squat on CD's because the record company's suck it all up in fake charges to them. The few Artists "Arlo Guthrie, Charlie Daniels, Paul McCartney and many more who are smart enough to own thier own record companies and media companies are the only ones making money on CD's. But a new band has not the capital to start such a large business in the beginning of thier careers and they get screwed on royalties..
POLICE STATE POLICE STATE.. There is just too much damn goverment control in every sector. We are taxed to death and get nothing in return, the people in America starve on the streets and our past Bush regieme sent all our jobs to other country's.. Wake up America time to close norders and buy Made In America by Americans before its too late...
When I read your rant,, And mine I realize why I live in the middle of a National Forest in the Northwoods of America with no real shopping or humanity for 100 miles.. Me my dog , my shotgun, my AK and a perimeter of razor wire.

I TOTALLY AGREE!! Since the end of the cold war, late 1980´s, the world has changed into a capitalist dominated 'supermarket' ruled by a few multinationals who do EVERYTHING to make even more money.
Sorry for me being so pessimistic but, if nothing is done, I see the world going down fast. Maybe the earth will even be totally destroyed within like a 100 years (environmentally, economically, physically, wars, etc.).
Poverty rates are going up, the number of people dying because of hunger is going up, the northpole will totally disappear within 20-30 years, etc, etc. Meanwhile the people in the 'rich' countries sit behind their tv´s and computers (just like I am now). BUT, this is not because all of them don´t care about what´s happening, it´s because they are working their asses off to make some cash, and when they get home, they´re just too tired to start the 'revolution'.
I´ve visited Mozambique (Africa) last year, one of the poorest countries in the world (a family relative is aid worker there). The things you see there make your stomach turn.

I wish we could do something. I´m happy many people are protesting against the G8, the world bank, and more of those who are leading us into this path of destruction!!
Wake up!! Capitalism is NOT the way, like many people use to believe, to get a better life for your kids and grandchildren. It will lead all of us, including this earth, to our graves.
We need to act fast because time is running out!

hello , in checking back I can see as usual I am misunderstood but thats ok.To explain, if anyones in quicksand they call for help, these days most may ignore that cry as they do when everyone hollers about injustices and Im no different.by all means if someones in your face I would most likely jump down their throat in defence and I think no one should be run over.but then again this is my point of the many who are doing what they do to wreck our existance by greed or other issues.Who can stop them?I can rave all I want but who listens and more importantly whats the answer to change it BEFORE we meet our demise.I do understand the upset nature against those who do as they please with no concience or remorse but what can we actually do to make the change. My point is to not let it consume you in a manner to which hopelessness reigns.Ive always seen their kind demolishes themselves after a few years unless someone does something about it.Im not saying lay down and accept wrongs but I am saying we need to actually change it.Those people I refer to as better off not knowing is the innocent ones who love life and live it despite the control implemented by big goverment and or corporations.Im like you man Id like to change the world but its bigger than us and to change it a good plan implemented would be great.Got one?its what you can do about things not just standing up but beating them back.I hope you dont take it wrong i am on your side basically but to right wrongs one must do something to change it and we the little people takes more than just a few.if we had a few million like you we could get our lives back.No sweat man just trying to clarify any misunderstandings I just dont want ya to self destruct LOL we need yer blog.Anyways power to the revolution and dont blow a fuse.I have a hard time explaining things and they may seem more complicated than actuality but I do think you understand what I was trying to say.If you want, check out US history the real one and see all the wrongs every administration has put on its peoples,we are not the first in this matter. Enjoy!L8r PS. we can always kill the bastards hehe, not, but its just a dream.

Walmart left Germany last year for good. They sold all their markets and quit. The official version is that they lost lots of money. This may be true, because they tried to beat competitors with unfair dumping-methods. Alas, this is forbidden here in Germany. Competitors accused Walmart, and Walmart lost the case.
I for one think, the main reason was that Walmart couldn´t install the American way of how they treat the employees. German employees simply didn´t let it happen. Walmart went too far - it was forbidden for employees to fall in love with each other! Walmart tried to keep the Unions out and threatened people to get fired if they´re going to strike. This all was printed in the press, discussed publically and went to court too. Walmart lost again.
So, after only ten years they packed in. Of course we have our little Walmarts too (called Aldi", "Lidl" and "Metro") and we can´t keep our borders shut to globalisation. But what makes America strong is maybe its weakness too: the plain size. Its market is big enough to stand alone and therefore someone like Walmart can gather might beyond limits.
But after all everyone decides alone, how he wants to live. You tell your kids, what the world is about, you decide what and where to buy and everyone can be a tiny bit rebellious in his own way, if only he wants to.
You did so by posting your thoughts in this blog. Let´s hope there are lots of others around this globe.

Micaelangeloh--sorry I misunderstood. I may overly sensitive to the subject right now. But I will say this (and not knowing anything about you personally, this may or not be your situation)--I think the only people who are happy with life are those making the kinds of money that leaves them in a comfortable position. I know I live in a lower middle class neighborhood (15 years ago it was an upper middle class neighborhood). Most of my neighbors aren't very happy with things right now. Most of them are either too busy working two jobs to make a change or (unfortunetly)too undereducated to know a change is even possible. Any of my old neighbors that are quote/unquote happy with their situation are now living in the suburbs and (also unfortunetly) really don't have to deal with or see the situations of those that are adversly affected by these things.

Anyways without getting too long winded (ha!) I will end by saying I wish I could be happy, and pretend these things are not affecting me, but I cannot fool myself (I really do, that is not a retort to your earlier comments). But as I write this gas is hitting a record high in the US, and the wonderful spokespoeople for the oil companies are blaming it on lack of refineries driving up the cost, but yet you can find the oil company profit website which shows that their profits are over ten thousand dollars a SECOND!!! Something is wrong and I want to know why no one seems to care.

Anon--Sounds like the folks in Germany are wise to the WalMart ways. Wish the people here in this country would wise up. But as I said in my post, people are too busy saving .07 on pickles to realise what the real cost of doing business with WalMart is. They just can't see that WalMart is driving down wages and eliminating the mom and pop stores which basically again shrinks the middle class even further.

Yeah, I've known for a long time about "Uncle" Carl and his exploits. He was the majority owner of the Cincy Reds for a few years, basically for a tax write off (he sure never put a decent team on the field during his term of ownership), but profited untold millions when he unloaded them. Another rant there, but I since I am not too far removed from Cincinnati, I listen to talk radio on a local station there and heard countless hours on Mr. Linder.

Did you know if he was 10 years old (he's actually in his 80s) and spent a million dollars a day every day for the rest of his life, he would still be a multi-millionaire? I have nothing against people who work hard and amass fortunes, but once you get obscenely rich like that, I think it's time to turn it over to the next guy.

I'd love to try a real experiement. How long do you think someone like, say, Paris Hilton would last is you took everything away from her (including her fame) and made her start from scratch? It would be an interesting experiment, but my money would be on the crack-whore end result.

Oh well, off topic there a bit, but needed to vent again.

I hate to be a repeatist and rather you didnt post because others need to speak but just to read and maybe gain from what Ive learned. I had have my share of difficulties and to make it all in short form (if this can be done),Separated from fiance gave her house. My brother had truck driving interstate wreck and screwed him up for life had his third heart attack with pacemaker and a medicine intake of serious drugs that was in numerous bottles lived with my mother in a huge house and died last Feb.I had 2 kidney stone operations since and been declared legally disabled for heart probs and gout high blood pressure ect it runs normal at 200/180 they want to put me in a hospital everytime they take it LOL but they put me on meds that if I take them life is not enjoyed and feel like crap so I quit taking them unless the pains arrive.Life is sweeter.Doctors are basically 15th century alchemists you know take this and youll feel better and no two Drs opinions or meds are the same..hmmm..another separate rant,Anyways getting back I got to that by working my ass off too hard.I did in one day seven days a week what it takes 2 or 3 people to do.No one could keep up.Well it caught up with me and did me in.I actually laughed when I watched an old episode of Gunsmoke(it was a slow day)and one guy said nobody ever died of hard work and I laughed so hard I almost fell over.Anyways, since then Ive learned this.I tried to keep up with society and its ills we put ourselves into and thereby am paying the price.Since my pay is basically a fraction of what it was and I have time to stop and smell the roses so to speak,I look at life differently and enjoy less of what society has to offer.I look upon the Mennonites who are self sustaining without alot of these controls and they seem pretty happy and somewhat largely unaffected by societies Ills.I began to look at this society as "Caesars World", run by others who try to control my way of thinking by influence or deception.I see the largeness of their gang and the backing of half of America so its a battle of epic proportions should one decide to debate them without getting killed.I see its paranoia making Americas fought for freedoms diminish through more city, state and govermental policing.Yet I still am glad i can breath and see trees and green while I can because it seems every days a gift I took for granted, I sacrifice myself to take care of my mother now and am trying to slowly remodel in some painful days to get her to a smaller house thats manageable. This is a two story house on one acre of land in town and is a major pain every month to keep up with but I take it all in stride for my decision of sacrifice to the end and thats my choice.Yet my point I guess is through all my trials and tribulations I still enjoy everyday despite its terrible people and what is to obviously come about.I really feel for our children they will expierience hell I believe and fooled beyond rational thought. But yet I cannot do anything about it but tell them watch out for that bus! and they refuse to move get hit by same. All you can do is tell them.In living in the grid most accept the way it is and holler when squeezed.noted.Yet the final thought is thinking about trying to move to an alternative self sustaining life and thereby involving others to do same and a possible eventual non dependancy of those who make money off of us and shutting alot of it down.Yes i guess living in Casaers world the farms disappeared a one thought way taught in schools and dependancy of corporations shutting down the little businesses and greeding out porkstyle and govermental controls implemented as a way to control the people, their thoughts and keeping themselves in a high position to deal.We allowed it blindly thinking it was the way.Now we wonder how far we are in it and see no way out but compromise like Israels exodus slaves or cut and run as they finally did.How long will we allow to be economic slaves and supporters to a goverment thats supposed to be ruled by us.Our forefathers even had so much brains to say that if goverment ever ruled the people rather than the people itself it was in violation and treasonistic to its own office.Anyways thats my final thoughts on the whole matter and I appreciate the time to rant myself LOL and havent done so in quite awhile.Stand for your cause and enjoy each and every moment of the gift of life.Laugh and enjoy your brothers and sisters company.Run off the rats who try to bite you(people)and I hope your situation improves.Dont let em get ya too down.Be happy or they know theyve won.Just be assertive and stand by your beliefs unless it can be changed heh Anyways thats it Im outer here thanks again and If you see a flower, stop and smell it for a moment. Some are unbelievably aromatically calming and I never dreamed they could have so many different good smells.Makes yer day a bit more bearable. Now ya know, do with it what you will,Take care brother! Hello Michaelangeloh,

Wow, we're really not that different, you and I. Of course my blood pressure is only 160/110, Diovan seems to be helping a bit, since it's a beta blocker, I cannot stop taking it due to the high possibilities of stroke (at age 40, no less). My back is damn near beyond repair (vertibrae fused, and pinched nerves)and the pain is unbearable at times, but I still cannot find a doctor who will help me due to the fact i must suck the governments tit for health insurance. They are happy to supply me with drugs that keep me damn near commatose, but I still have to work a job that I must stand 8+ hours a day at below poverty wage and also constantly lift heavy boxes (cases of cola & beer) and stock shelves with cases of anti freeze, motor oil and load cars with 85 pound bags of fertilizers and garden mulch because no doctor seems to think I should be determined legally disabled (and if I told my boss about these problems I would probably be let go instantly). Ask them I get need to lower my colesteral (with liver damaging pills)and take back therapy (which I have tried, and I've gotten worse because of it). I also suffer panic attacks and depression. I believe I am manic depressive, but i refuse to seek a diagnosis due to the fact I am to scared of the conclusions that may be reached by pill happy psychiatrists. My regular doctor already prescribed paxil and wellbutron, but they made me feel like I was nuttier than I did without them.

I also suffer from kidney stones, but haven't yet had to have any operations for them, I got have to go through the fun of the gut wrenching pain of passing them every so often.

Don't have gout, but the night cashier at my job does due to complications from kidney failure (he has one left). He has to work three jobs to survive because he is repeatedly turned down for health insurance. (The only reason I get any is because I have children.
Since he is single, he cannot get any in this great country we live in, while if an illegal alien gets into the country and has a baby, she not only gets free health care, but her baby is considered an American citizen and she usually gets to stay and eventually bring her family to the country, all getting free health care and many other perks this countries own are denied).

In 1997 my wife of seven years, ran off with a co-worker and left me to (singlehandedly take care of our 3 kids. She left due to money issues (lack of, to be precise) mainly. I will admit I wasn't the greatest husband in the world. I was working 2 jobs 14-18 hours a day and was drained of any emotion as I was basically a zombie.

Also that year I lost a great job due to phony allegations made by my ex and her family. But luckily I had a great guy on my side who gave my a wonderful job working mostly at home, but I had to do some travel. Due to situations with my children and my health problems I lost that job not too long ago (right before christmas), and now even though I am again working that aforementioned job, I am in serious danger of having to file bankrupcy due to inability to pay several bills.

And yet, like you I do have several joys in my life. Music for one. If I would go deaf, that would be the end of me. Music is my sweet salvation and my savior in many trying times. I can associate hundreds of songs to meaningful events in my life and I have mentioned some in posts I've made in the past.

Another of my joys are my 3 great children, who have also kept me from giving up completely in times when I've been so depressed I've contemplated....well, I'd rather not go into that. Although I've never really mentioned my children in too much detail (reasons of keeping my private life out of this blog, mainly a music sharing blog--I just figured nobody cared). My oldest graduates high school tomorrow and I am truly frightened at the lack of prospects this world has to offer him (so far they seem to be the armed forces or college loans for the next twenty years of his life). My daughter is having problems, and needs to go to summer school for 3 classes at 100 dollars a pop, and I can only afford to send to one this summer. So she will be behind next year. My youngest son suffers from ADHD and night (REM sleep) seizures and has constant problems with any form of concentration. He has a very high IQ and several talents such as drawing (his art teachers want me to send him to a special art school, but unfortunetly I cannot afford to due to making too much money to get him any aid--yet, I repeat, we are WAY below proverty level.

So to end yet another lengthy reply to you, I respect (and to some extent envy) your ability to look at the bright side of life. Some days are diamonds for me but they are few and far between. And I see so many who don't deserve it being handed everything, and many people shit on who deserve better. And I just can't stand it anymore.

Everyone deserves to be happy sometimes. I have my ways, you have yours and hopefully everything works out for you. You (as do the majority of us) deserve better than the hand life has handed you.

And that is why I want to begin to address to injustices of the world. Will it change anything? Probably not. Will it bring a bit of joy into my life to expose the enemies of the "world" dream? Yes, it will, a thousand times over. But I will not let it take away the joys I do have. I will continue to post music that is a great joy to me, I will continue to enjoy and encourage my offspring, and I will continue to live, possibly uncomfortably, but satisfied in the knowledge that someone will know I was aware of the wrongs done against myself and millions of others who may not be.

It's been a really great friendly discussion with you, and again, I wish you well in life.

Bryon
