The Nordic Winds Blew More Great Tunes This Way

You know who to thank for these!!!

MOST OF THESE HAVE DELETED. THE UPLOADER SENT A NOTE AND SAID IT EITHER COULD HAVE HAPPENED HERE OR POSSIBLY ONE OTHER PLACE HE POSTS THEM. ALL WERE WORKING RIGHT BEFORE I POSTED THEM. I'M THINKING IT MAY BE SOMEBODY PISSED OFF BECAUSE I WON'T LET HIM POST HIS STUPID COMMENTS ABOUT HOW SHITTY MY RIPS ARE. IF THAT IS THE CASE, WELL TOUGH TITTIES, BECAUSE I HAVE THE STUFF DOWNLOADED BEFORE ANYONE HERE EVER SEES THEM. I WILL FIGURE OUT A WAY TO REPOST THEM LATER.

Holy shit - what's going on ??

Want to try downloading the RUNAWAYS - AND NOW and the link is dead.

Less than 24 h lifetime at Megaupload is faster than everything I've seen before. Are these fresh uploads or published elsewhere long before ??

Could you please check out the link to Axe, living on the edge. It was deleted for some reason. I have been looking for that one for about 10 years. It is, I believe, the only Axe not available on cd.

JUst to follow up on my Axe post...Phil Lynott has been deleted as has Russ Ballard. Some bastard got you again!!

Anonymous said...

hello,
the links doesn't work

Anonymous said...

trying to get Russ Ballard's last one, but link not available
Thanks for the effort, though :)

Thanks for the fantastic post - the Head East stuff is especially exciting since so much of it is tough to come by. Unfortunately, some creep killed the Russ Ballard links - but that's a small concern given all the great music here. Many thanks to you and our friend from the Nordic lands.

many of the new links aren´t working!

Read the new comments on the post. Please, no one else needs to comment that the posts were deleted. I have most if not all of them downloaded and will try to accomadate requests later on. I am kinda backed up but I will get some reposted eventually. The ones previously mentioned in the above comments have already been added to the list.

This was bound to happen, I managed to get some Head East and Point Blank, but man you gotta PROTECT YOUR LINKS!!!

Try these...

Don't let an A*****e or two get ta ya the rest (most) of us understand the favour you provide to us. What a pain it must be at times dealing with those that resist the Blog.
The Blog is our friend and we appriciate the time and effort put into it by you.
Finally to whom does not like the service you provide by ripping (& well done too) an impossible to find album go **** & ******** & **** yourself. Put up or shutup lets see you do better.

Thanks Time Traveller

Man dont worry, your efforts in putting together this amazing stuff is awesome.Everything goes smooth. My best wishes.

Well, first off, those link protectors don't really work, just like virus protection, as quick as new ones are developed the deleters learn how to crack them. But those aren't my links and I just posted them for a friend.

But don't be surprised if this is the last batch he sends me, because I sure wouldn't do all that work and then watch it get destroyed in less than 24 hours.

I don't let it bother me personally anymore, but he did send me a taunting calling card so I am pretty sure I know who did it now. The guy needs to go get a life, probably one of the guys who got beat up too much in high school or has a tiny penis that all the ladies (or men) laugh at so he hides behind a computer and destroys. Probably also goes out in the middle of the night and destroys little old ladies gardens too. He's just a little pussy.

But like I said before I have almost everything downloaded already and I'll put some stuff up eventually. It doesn't matter if he deletes anymore. I have some ideas up my sleeve.

Thanks for all the positive comments and don't worry there will be more to come--at least from me.

Heya TT, Have you ever tried TORRENTS ? It sounds good to me.

Take a little look on mininova.org, a free server to torrents.

ROCK ON !!!

I was really looking forward to the Russ Ballard. What a great batch of music,TOO BAD.Hope the winds keep blowing!!!

I'm thinking torrents may be the way to go. This deleter is being ridiculous. I don't know, everybody (myself included) likes the ease of clicking a button and getting the files in a short period of time. The torrents often take much longer. But we'll see.

I did grab all of the Russ Ballard stuff BEFORE I posted it here, so Russ may make another appearance here very soon. The 70's albums are all excellent, and the 80's stuff, while not essential, are worthwhile too.

Just hang tight for a couple days and I will get something up here.

mediafire seems to work pretty well. i don't know that I've ever gotten a 'file deleted' message from a mediafire upload. of course, I had only rarely gotten one from megaupload too...

the problem with torrents is that a lot of schools and workplaces are banning the torrent protocol.

Anonymous said...

No torrents please!! Those are good for mainstream stuff only which usually generates lots of peers and seeds, not the ideal solution for obscure R'n'R.

Instead of that, I would recommend Multiply

http://multiply.com/

which is becoming fairly popular amongst music bloggers. You got your page and your contests that can be shared with other people, nobody can delete anything from there and you got unlimited storage capacity.

I’ve just set up my account and uploaded a song, as a test. Here it is

http://cosmowombo.multiply.com/music/

You just need to right-click where it says “download” to see how it works, it’s rather fast.

What do you think Mr. Time Traveller?

Cheers

I just notice you had couple of other Canadian bands available at one time.Like I am shocked you even have them They are Zon(2) and Garfield two more bands I grew up with fresh out of high school in the bars and arenas. No matter how you go with your fantastic site please repost these in some way greatly appreciate it.
Others Can. Bands looking for:
Lydia Taylor

Don't mean to seem greedy but I have never seen so much great stuff in my music tastes in one spot..
Any way thanks at least for the memories and of course your Thundermug and other Can. bands I have been able to hear and cherrish again, memmmmoooorrrrrrieeeeeeeeeeeees

Thanks to you an archaeology field team will be listening to Head East while camping on the high plains of northern Wyoming!

Fire up the generator and turn up the tunes! Woooooohooooooo!

Let me recommend this new blog...

http://alocacoc-blog.blogspot.com/

focused on the "AOR/Melodic Hard Rock scene 'round the 70's & 80's".

So far a compilation with Canadian Bands + both Piper (Billy Squier's first band) albums have been posted.

Time Traveller said...

Yes I was supposed to add that blog to my links but I have been really lax about added links. I should do that right away. And those Piper albums are great, as are the first 4 Billy Squire albums if you haven't heard them.

Hi!

Thanks for the great music!!!!

Can you post some Starz CDs?

Many Greetings
kosmonaut

Time Traveller said...

Well, uh, I'd love to post some Starz albums but Kit already did on the other blog and the band dropped by with a little cease and desist note for us. So to get any Starz you will have to visit their website and buy the discs or find a braver blogger than myself for that stuff (try P2P hint hint).....
