Diversity is the spice of life.........

These were requests for people over at groovy fab. I decided to put them over here too. Kathy & Carol was a rare barely released LP on Elektra records back in '65 until the good folks at Collector's Choice released it. It bombed too, but I found a copy at my library (they come up with this but try to find Joe Walsh or Bob Dylan there) and ripped a copy. It's just Kathy, Carol and an acoustic guitar on most tracks (on the others its Kathy and Carol without guitar). I detect a bit of celtic influence here but what do I know. I am no expert on folk. I will say these girls sing much better than Dave Van Ronk.........

From 1973 here is Cleveland Ohio's own Granicus. This is their only LP and it's Led Zepish hard rock. In fact the singer sounds quite a bit like Bob Plant from time to time (also sounds a bit like Dave King from Fastway too, but Dave was probably going for Plant too). But this is hard for '73, bluesy and soulful too. This was recorded from vinyl by a friend a long time ago and is a single file.

Songs: You're in America/Bad Talk/TwilightPrayer/Cleveland, Ohio/Nightmare/When You're Movin'/Paradise.

I also uploaded the Ram Jam albums too, but they ended up over at Zinhof's so if you want it, go to get it there.

I don't have a clue what to put up here next, anyone up for the Grease 2 soundtrack? How about Engelbert Humperdinck? Heino? Mrs. Miller? anyone? anyone? hello?

Well personally I'd like to see a very obscure '80s prog band called 'Omega', no, not the Eastern European one! But an English band who released only one lp as far as I know: 'The Prophet' on Rock Machine in 1985. I remember side one being an absolute classic...

Do you, by any chance, have Enoch Light's "Provocative Percussion" (vols 1-3)? ... or how 'bout a band called "The Hook"; their only LP was "Will Grab You" (1968). I remember doing a tune called "Son of Fantasy" with my first rock band...

Anon - I have actually heard of the Omega album, but do not have it.

Danny - Blackwater Park is on a blog somewhere I think, and I think it's called Dirt Box not Black box.I will check it out, if not I will post it. Check back here later today.

bongolong - check a blog called Planet Xtabay for the Enoch stuff, they may not those specifically, but I bet they might have something you want. The Hook actually had 2 LPs, Will Grab You and Hooked. I have WGY that I got from Chrisgoesrock (it upgraded my scratched up album) so it may still be up there, I will check that one out too.

Wojtec - I've got some stuff I will post in the next few of the jazz prog variety. Don't know about the specific one's you requested.

Secretly ATW - I've a great Van Ronk album with the Hudson Dusters and he does an early version of Joni Mitchell's Clouds (which became Both Sides Now for Judy Collins) that is VERY moving. I have to rip it but I'll stick up here sometime soon. If I post any Engelbert (I'm not sure if I even have any, it just rolled off the top of my head) I'll post it over at groovyfab.

Danny - working on Blackwater now for you.

Bruce - I can do Atlantis for you (I've 2 or 3), I agree about Inga, I used to have a solo LP she did and I got rid of it, damn me. Leaf Hound has just been posted on a blog somewhere (I'll see if can get any details) and sorry I'm all out of Jim Nabors, I used to have the Shazam! (Gomer Pyle) LP but I also got rid of that.

I was jokin' bout Heino. I may have an old album but I don't think it would fit in here.

About Hans, I don't think he wants any hoopla about this situation, he wants it over with. Look around and you just might find him again.

Thank you for all the amon duul! A completely underated band. It is a shame.

And thank you for putting up so many new things i have never heard before!

Since you field for a few suggestions i thought i pitch a few:
John foxx- metamatic or the pleasures of electricity.

Some late seventies hawkwind(thanks for the quark one) warriors on the edge of time, early 80's hawkwind (chronicles of the black sword).

Ivor cutler? He's quite funny!

Tally on!
