Blasting forth from another dimesion....

Hello again, and welcome to my little pad......

With a whopping 2 requests here's the great 1972 LP from ex-Asylum Choir (and Leon Russell) sidekick Marc Benno. Released on A&M (SP-4364). Sorry bout the low bitrate.

And at a close second with one, here's the 1970 Fever Tree Album For Sale. A bit more obscure than the band's two Uni LPs (which are both fantastic BTW) this one was released on the Ampex label (10113) home of the first two Todd Rundgren solo LPs under the name Runt and quite a few other long lost gems. This one is 192 kbps.

Next, just because I was listening to it today and felt like plopping it up here, is a great grab bag of Iveys demos from 1968. Released as Someday We'll Be Known:the '68 Demos, it is a fasinating look into the band that soon afterward became the beloved Badfinger. Another low bitrate, but still well worth investigating.

This album is just plain fun to listen to and one of my faves. Released in the UK in 1970 on Harvest records (SHVL-763) . Nuff said about it, just listen.........

Couldn't find a decent cover fro this next one but here is some early Steve Hillage for your enjoyment. This one was during his short stint in the prog band Egg. It was their first and was released on the Deram label here in the states to little or no fanfare back in 1970 (#18039).

A few odds & ends:

First up is the largest of them, this is from 1972. It's Alex Harvey performing on the UK tv show Old Grey Whistle Test.

And here for the fans of Beyond the Valley of the Dolls is a rare radio spot. It's coupled with a cool 1970 spot of Iggy and the Stooges Funhouse. They are both short and sweet.

From the sessions that eventually got lumped in with a lot of inferior stuff on the LP Opel, is my favorite Syd Barrett ditty "Milky Way". It makes me both happy and sad because it such a great song, but at the same time you can hear Syd disintegrating. Shame about Syd!!!

I dig the Turtles a lot and I dig Frank Zappa a lot. I also dug when Frank and Flo & Eddie from the Turtles got (happy) together for awhile in the early seventies. Here is a cool interview from that period. And also a nice Flo & Eddie radio show spot with a guy named Marc.

Lastly, although my tastes seem to run toward the psych, hard rock and progressive end of things, I love ALL kinds of music. I was a punk in the early eighties, a metalhead in the late eighties, just to name a couple of my phases. So eventually, things may show up here that are quite diverse, because while you'll most often find me listing to some crazed out psych LP or some heavy progressive German monster, you're just as likely to find me listening to Slayer, Foghat, Dead Kennedys, Deep Purple, Muddy Waters, John Coltrane, or something like this--the Beat Farmers with the late great Country Dick Montana (not to be confused with Handsome Dick Manitoba from the Dictators) doing their personal take on the Zep.

Some amazing posts here. Love the stuff from Dot Records. Would you happen to have the album "Atmosphere" from the group Colours? Thanks ...

NO, I'd love to have the Colours albums (I believe there are 2, I may be wrong). I saw a post about them over at Lost and Found Albums, I think, so maybe our wishes will come true. And glad you all are enjoying the posts, I'll try to keep it up!!!

there do exist two more Albums by Pavlov's Dog, called third and 'Lost in America'.

At the Sound of the Bell is not their last, but the best.

Greetings Hank
